Grilled Cheese Roll Ups

These grilled cheese roll ups are crispy on the outside and perfectly cheesy on the inside. An easy, kid-friendly recipe made with simple ingredients and ready in minutes, perfect for lunch, snacks, or appetizers.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices oft white bread (crusts removed)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or American)
  • 2 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 4 thin slices ham (optional)

Equipment

  • 1 rolling pin
  • 1 Nonstick skillet
  • 1 Spatula

Method
 

  1. Place each slice of bread on a flat surface and use a rolling pin to flatten it completely.
  2. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over each slice of bread. Add ham if using.
  3. Roll the bread tightly from one end to the other, pressing gently to seal the edge.
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
  5. Place grilled cheese roll ups seam-side down in the skillet.
  6. Cook for 4 to 6 minutes, turning occasionally, until all sides are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from heat and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Roll the bread tightly to prevent opening while cooking.
  • Avoid overfilling with cheese to stop leaking.
  • Cook on medium heat for even browning.
