Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 shots espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee)
  • 3/4 cup milk (whole milk, oat milk, almond milk, or soy milk)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 to 2 tsp simple syrup or sweetener (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for flavored iced latte)

Equipment

  • 1 espresso machine or coffee maker
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 tall glass
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 milk frother (optional)

Method

  1. Brew 1 to 2 shots of espresso or prepare ½ cup strong coffee using your preferred method.
  2. Allow the coffee to cool slightly to avoid melting the ice too quickly.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour the brewed espresso or coffee over the ice.
  5. Add milk to the glass according to your taste preference.
  6. Stir in sweetener and vanilla extract if using.
  7. Mix well and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a stronger flavor, reduce milk slightly.
  • Use coffee ice cubes to prevent a watery iced latte.
  • This recipe works perfectly as an iced latte recipe without an espresso machine.
